Duties of the County Emergency Management Agency
Emergency management is a coordinated effort, involving local, state, and federal government agencies as well as volunteer organizations and businesses.
Within an integrated emergency management framework, these entities assist citizens and their Communities to prepare for, respond to, recover from, and eliminate or reduce the effects of natural, man-made, civil, and technological emergencies and disasters.
Fayette County Alerts: Fayette County will replace its current Alert system by July 2021. You MUST register a new account to continue to receive weather and emergency alerts. With this switch, residents will have access to new features and functions and can create one user account for their whole family including multiple addresses.

When an emergency affects the Fayette County area such as severe weather, flooding, and other disasters, Emergency Management will have spotters and units in the field reporting the latest information and developments to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
